Calypso ( Old Spider-Man foe that no one probably remembers) and Solomon Grundy.

I did some of this and thats to the designs and feel of both characters. Can't say i stayed faithful to the original designs. The only images of Calypso i could find was Todd McFarlane's. I gotta say i hated it and thought she kinda sorta kinda looked like a tranny instead of what i had in my head when i read up on her.

Besides i had this image in my head that she could possibly be Kraven the Hunter's daughter. I also liked the concept of a little voodoo girl messing up the night with zombies and other badness.

I just got an inking gig. Inking myself. I will be doing this for the last of issue 5 of the Kill Krew.

I am nervous about the "official" inking of myself to be honest. BUT since it's in the fat of the fire of the deadline race of death.

( because something will die this weekend i assure you. I could be any one of the many variables that clutter my human space)

I am back on my grizzly doing doodles and putting down the good oldies.

The good stuff. The stuff i hold back because i work on them off and on for months until someone says...That's done dude.

This was actually the doodle that inspired the FOR THE WORLD collection.

When i look back on some projects...Like say LORD HAVOK AND THE EXTREMISTS. I always wish i could have done more. I like the feel of DC's version of Doctor Doom.

COLD KREWIN' IT

I think Kid Rock is THE OFFICIAL soundtrack in my brain when i am doodlin' this book.

Devil without a Cause is great. I see SKK like that.

More Spider-Man Foes vs Batman Madness.

The basic concept so far is putting these two foe groups together in the same space and see the chaos ensue. IMO their is no hero(s) out there with a better villain gallery than that of the Spider and the Bat.

These usually take some time because i'm trying to commit myself to whatever combinations i come up with and totally do a... "One and done" type of deal with them. No repeats. No do-overs.

Maybe one day i'll be able to hook up my newphew for his college fund or somethin like that. Who knows.

I do know that i'm usually pretty happy with these pieces as a whole. They are as fun as it gets for me i suppose. And there's tons to go thru and think on... I guess that's half the fun- thinking of the possible combos and what it would look like and ultimately trying to figure out who wins and loses. Or maybe just there is no end to the madness.

They just stop fighting when one of those "super hero dicks" drops by.
